A military parade and a festive procession in honor of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan took place in Ashgabat

Today, in the southern part of Ashgabat, on the square in front of the new complex of the State Tribune, a festive military parade was held in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. The ceremony was attended by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the country's leadership and foreign guests.

The military parade was attended by units of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of National Security, the State Border Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan. The aerial part of the parade aroused great interest of the spectators. Combat planes and helicopters flew in the festive sky of Ashgabat.

In conclusion, a separate battalion of the guard of honor of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan and an exemplary orchestra of the country's Armed Forces marched in front of the central rostrum. The warriors demonstrated impeccable training and high skill in the execution of marching techniques with weapons.

After the military parade, a festive procession of representatives of the regions of Turkmenistan and labor collectives of the branches of the national economy took place. Delegates of five velayats (regions) of the country, employees of various departments and industries, columns of athletes and cultural figures, children's creative teams marched in front of the guest tribunes.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on the 30th anniversary of the country's independence.
